The Dos Pueblos LL Junior All-Stars cruised to a 17-4 mercy-rule victory over Nipomo LL on Sunday at Girsh Park.
With the victory, DPLL will now clash with Moorpark LL with the Section 1 title on the line on Monday. The winner will advance to the SoCal Regional tournament.
Jacob Stock got the starting nod for DPLL, striking out four in 2 â…“ innings of work. Meanwhile, Caleb Fante, Andrew Wang and Matias Csordas came out of the bullpen. DPLL pitchers struck out 10 Nipomo batters.
On the offensive end, the duo of James Chou and Philip Lowe led the outburst with two hits and two RBI apiece en route to the victory.
