Dos Pueblos girls golf’s Sagarika Manian and Victoria Chen competed in the CIF-SS Individual Regional at Los Robles Green on Wednesday.
Manian shot a 72, which was two-over-par, to earn an 18th-place finish and a spot in the CIF-SS Individual Championships at the Morongo Golf Club on Nov. 2.
“Saga did a great job managing a course that she has only played a few times,” Chargers coach Dan Choi said. “She was playing very smart and relaxed. She has really matured as a player over the last few years and it really showed today.
“It is sometimes hard at these events to feel confident and feel like you belong with all these great players but Saga really proved today that she can play with some of the best in the state.”
Meanwhile, Chen shot an 88 in her final action as a high school golfer.
“Victoria has been such a great player and leader for us these last four years that we will really miss her,” Choi said.
