After sharing the Channel League Flag Football title during the regular season, Dos Pueblos and San Marcos will now both be vying for the CIF-SS Division 1 title.

The Chargers and Royals, the lone local flag football teams to reach the postseason, were both slotted into the Division 1 bracket on Friday.

Both Dos Pueblos, the No. 5 team in the Southern Section in the latest power rankings, and San Marcos, the No. 7 team in the Southern Section, will begin their playoff runs on their home turf on Wednesday, Oct. 22.

The Chargers (22-2) earned the No. 4 seed in the division and as a result, they will host Etiwanda on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Scott O’Leary Stadium.

Etiwanda is fresh off a Baseline League championship and a strong regular season, where it ended with a record of 22-3.

Meanwhile, the Royals (22-3) will roll out the welcome mats for St. Joseph of Lakewood on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Warkentin Stadium.

St. Joseph captured a Camino Real League title this season, putting together an impressive 18-2 overall record.
