Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara High boys water polo wrapped up the Arroyo Grande Tournament on Saturday in Arroyo Grande.
The Chargers went 2-0 on the day to complete a perfect weekend, while the Dons lost both of their Saturday matchups.
Dos Pueblos
The Chargers opened the day with a 13-7 victory over Northgate High in a game where the freshmen shined.
Freshman Channing Wigo led the team in scoring with five goals, while freshman Koa Zertuche collected eight saves and two assists.
Lucas Neushul dished out five assists and both Adam Gelman and Tyler Racine scored twice.
They followed that up with a 17-11 victory over Rocklin High thanks to an 11-goal outburst in the second half.
Eight different Chargers scored in the win, with Neushul and Eli Carnaghe scoring four goals apiece. Grant Nelson, Skyler Carroll and Wigo netted two goals each.
Meanwhile, Adam Gelman, Aricin Marshall and Max Gelman rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece. Zertuche tallied seven saves, one assist and one goal.
Santa Barbara High
The Dons suffered a heartbreaking 7-6 loss to Righetti to begin Saturday, losing a 5-1 lead early in the third quarter.
Oliver Kelly led the team with three goals, West Graham scored twice and Lorenzo Russell tacked on one score.
Paolo Borgioli earned a trio of exclusions, while Nikita Kolosov tallied 11 saves and two steals.
Santa Barbara High then rounded out its weekend with a 13-8 loss to San Luis Obispo High.
Kelly had a strong all-around performance in the loss, recording six goals, two assists and two steals. Lorenzo Russell scored twice, while Mason Walsh picked up three exclusions earned.
The Dons will take on Carpinteria High on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. in Carpinteria.
