Dos Pueblos swim earned a Senior Day sweep of rival Santa Barbara High on Wednesday at Elings Aquatic Center.

The Charger girls took down the Dons 108-34 while the boys team captured a 95-68 victory.

“Both the boys’ and girls’ teams showcased their talent and dedication,” Dos Pueblos coach Chrissie Cable said.

Dos Pueblos’ all-senior medley relay squad of Pessia Fygenson, Megan Garner, Kay Taylor-Ng and Addison Parrish won their race by nine seconds.

Individually, Talia Marshall picked up CIF times in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle. Meanwhile, Grant Nelson finished with a CIF consideration time in the 100 backstroke.

Both Adam Gelman and Dasha Dzreeva came away with CIF consideration times in the 200 IM, and Garner earned a CIF consideration time in the 50 freestyle.

As for the Dons, Oliver Kelly led the way with victories in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. Meanwhile, Calvin Nelley came in second in both the 200 IM and 100 fly.

Lorenzo Russel placed second in the 50 freestyle and third in the 100 fly, while Shane Davis took third in the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke.

Jules Horton captured first in the 200 freestyle for the Dons and came in second in the 100 freestyle.

Rose Nelley tallied second place in the 50 freestyle and third place in the 500 freestyle, while Naleah La Riba-Kveta placed second in the 100 breaststroke.  

Carpinteria vs. Channel Islands

The Warriors swept Channel Islands on Wednesday to finish the season undefeated in Citrus Coast League play. The boys won 120-47 while the girls picked up a 107-57 victory.

Carpinteria celebrated the senior class of Giulia Piccoletti, Allison Banks, Jacob Otsuki, Lucas Martin and Alex deLeon.

“This is a great group of hard-working kids who lead by example,” Warrior head coach Jon Otsuki said.

Piccoletti celebrated her Senior Day with a pair of victories in the 100 fly and 100 breaststroke. Meanwhile, Lucy Moore (100 backstroke, 500 freestyle), Hazel Dugre (200 IM, 100 freestyle) and Madison Lee (200 freestyle, 50 freestyle) all won two events as well.

On the boys side, Jacob Otsuki was the lone double individual event winner, taking both the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle.

Other event winners included Taison Lee (200 freestyle), Sky Korling (200 IM), Jake Ehlers (100 fly), Luke Donahue (500 freestyle), Chris Reed (100 backstroke) and Stefano Piccoletti (100 breaststroke).

The Warriors will compete in the preliminary heats of the CCL Championships on Tuesday at Hueneme High.
