Dos Pueblos track & field participated in the Ventura Distance Carnival on Friday, with several athletes setting new personal records.
Leif Kylander cleared 11-6 in the pole vault to take second place while Alex Rogers tied her PR at 7-0 to earn third place.
The Chargers found the majority of their success on the day in the races, however.
Ashton Smedley bettered his personal record by five seconds with a time of 2:05.17 in the 800-meter, which was good for seventh place.
Meanwhile, Owen Abbott placed second in the 1,600-meter with a personal-best 4:36.19. Also in the 1,600, Vienza Machuca finished in eighth with a personal-best time of 5:35.07.
The Dos Pueblos 4×800 relay team of Andrew Gentry, Dominic Corral, Finn Wright and Andy Brennan earned a second-place finish with a time of 8:39.40, a season-best mark.
