Dos Pueblos track & field set a pair of meet records on the first day of the Don Green Invitational on Friday at Moorpark High School.
The Chargers’ Cullen Gully ran a personal-best and meet-record time of 4:20.13 to take first place in the boys 1,600-meter race.
Later in the day, the Dos Pueblos distance medley relay team of Gully, Owen Abbott, Ty Perkins and Oliver Saleh set a new meet record with a first-place time of 11:05.60.
In the 1,600-meter race, Gully was followed by Abbott, Phillip Contakes and Saleah, who placed fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively.
Meanwhile, Eamon Gordon placed fifth in the 3,200-meter race with a personal-best time of 9:15.53.
On the girls side, Dos Pueblos’ Vienza Machuca and Cate Bishop each set personal records in the 1,600-meter race at 5:34.5 and 5:44.07, respectively.
The Chargers will be back at the Don Green Invitational on Saturday for throws, sprints, jumps and hurdles.
