Dos Pubelos junior outside hitter Tzevon Lovejoy-Hall served six aces as the Chargers swept host Cabrillo, 25-9, 25-17, 25-13, in a Channel League match Thursday.

Lovejoy-Hall also had four kills and four digs. Luke Gilner had nine kills, three blocks, three digs, and two aces. Troy Fitzgerald added five kills, 20 assists, four blocks, an ace, and eight digs to the balanced attack.

“The team was serving aggressively tonight,” Dos Pueblos coach Ehren Hug said. “We really were putting some pace on the ball. … The guys were focused tonight and it showed with very few errors.”

Junior outside Nate Gotsis had seven kills and a block “and passed well,” Hug said. Grant Hughes had four kills, four blocks, three digs, and 18 assists.

The Chargers are now 4-3 in league play and 14-5 overall.

Their first match at the Karch Kiraly Tournament of Champions at Santa Barbara High is 12:30 p.m. Friday against West Ranch.
