Every shot counted as Dos Pueblos edged host Camarillo 408 to 410 at the par 71 Los Posas Country Club Tuesday.

Freshman Teddy Vigna led the Chargers with a 76, while Tyler Meister medaled for Camarillo with a 75.

“The boys haven’t played this course, and they played very well considering every hole was lined with trouble,” Dos Pueblos coach Kevin Ahlers said.

Vigna’s round included an eagle on the long par-5 seventh hole.

“He hit his second shot within three feet from the hole,” Ahlers said.

Ruben Mendoza and Scott Nightingale had two birdies each for the Chargers.

“I want to commend Laith (Reynolds) with a very consistent round,” Ahlers said, and “Michael (Gentry) made some very important putts today.”

Dos Pueblos is 3-1 overall, and opens league play Thursday at La Purisima.
