The Dos Pueblos girls lacrosse team routed Nordhoff, 16-2, to cap a 10-0 Channel League season on Tuesday night.

Twelve Chargers scored in the game, led by Caitlin Duncan with three goals.  Makayla Severson and Chloe Gotsis each scored two goals.

“We are thrilled to have finished up our season undefeated in league,” said assistant coach Jess Delgadillo. “The girls have worked so hard to perfect their offensive plays and tighten up our defense just in time for playoffs.”

The Chargers (18-1 overall) will play in the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs. The pairings will be released Saturday.

It was Senior Night, and Dos Pueblos celebrated five seniors: Yesenia Valdez, Pilar Carbajal, Caitlin Duncan, Makayla Severson, and Nenna Tynes.

“All five seniors played the whole game and got lots of field time as their final regular season comes to an end,” said Delgadillo.

Santa Barbara Girls Rout La Reina

Daisy Foreman scored four goals and Eva Larsson and Eleanor Mongone each had three as Santa Barbara High rolled to the non-league win.

“We came together as a team tonight with some amazing passing,” said coach Elayne Blessing. “We played selflessly which allowed 12 players to score.”
