Dos Pueblos held Pacifica to one touchdown in the first quarter before the powerful Tritons blew the game open with three scores in the second en route to a 49-3 Channel League win at Scott O’Leary Stadium on Friday night.

Pacifica starting quarterback Tagg Harrison threw a 12-yard scoring pass to Dayday Aupiu to put the Tritons (4-1, 3-0) on the board at the eight-minute mark of the first quarter.

The Dos Pueblos defense kept the Chargers in the game early before getting worn down by the Tritons.

Harrison and Aupiu hooked up again for a 6-yard touchdown, and Harrison completed a 38-yard pass to Ryan Cervantes for a 21-0 lead. Derrick Mejia kicked the PATs.

Alexander Villa returned an interception for a touchdown late in the second quarter for a 28-0 halftime advantage.

In the third quarter, Dos Pueblos recovered a fumble at the Pacific 38 and the Chargers capitalized by getting a 46-yard field goal from Greg Tripathi.

Pacifica came back with three more scores to go up 49-3 at the end of the third quarter.

Dos Pueblos (2-3, 0-3), plays at winless Channel Islands next Friday.
