Georgia Wilson and Bella Nuño combined on a one-hitter and Dos Pueblos banged out 19 hits and 22 runs in a Channel League victory at Santa Ynez Tuesday.
Mia Reveles, Trisha Lo and Paulina Avina had three RBI each for the Chargers, and Summer McCeney added 2 RBi on two hits. Lacy Spear had three hits, including a double, to lead six Chargers with multiple hits.
“I am happy for the way the girls played today,” Dos Pueblos coach Mike Gerken said. “I asked them to concentrate on making every plate appearance count, and they really did that today. Our defense was solid with both Mia Reveles and Riley Monroe making great plays on fly balls in a strong wind. I really like the way we are playing right now.”
The Chargers are now 11-1 in league play and 13-4 overall.
