The Dos Pueblos Little League 9-Under All Stars won their opening game of the District 63 Tournament, beating Ventura Foothill, 7-2, on Tuesday at the Goleta Valley South Little League complex.
Matteo Conant pitched a solid 4.1 innings, striking out six and allowing one unearned run.
The Dos Pueblos offense was paced by Solomon Bodenhamer, Tyler Newendorp and Xoaquin Galicia who all went 2 for 2. Santiago Grande ripped a double to the fence to drive in two runs.
Dos Pueblos next plays Goleta Valley South on Wednesday, June 8, at 5 p.m.
