Nathan Atzberger, Evan Bean and Stone Saunders each collected three hits to lead the Dos Pueblos Little League Junior Division All Stars to a 9-4 win over Carpinteria in a winner’s bracket game at the District 63 Tournament in Santa Paula.
DPLL improves to 2-0 and advances to the championship on Thursday. The team earlier defeated Saticoy, 9-1.
Taylor Young earned the pitching win for DPLL against Carpinteria. He gave up three runs on eight hits over 4.2 innings. Teagan Harper pitched 2.1 innings of relief and retired all seven batters he faced.
