Dos Pueblos’ Riley Monroe went 4-4 with four RBI and Trisha Lo hit a bases-loaded triple as the Chargers dominated host Santa Barbara 17-4 in a Channel League game Thursday.

The Chargers banged out 17 hits. Georgia Wilson and Leila Chisholm also had three RBI apiece. Summer McCeney added her first career home run in the fifth.

Dos Pueblos carried a 17-0 into the bottom of the fifth inning, when the Dons did all their scoring. Alina Magdalano hit a three-run homer for Santa Barbara.

Georgia Wilson and Bella Nuno combined in the circle for the Chargers, giving up seven hits in five innings.

The Chargers kept their league record unblemished at 6-0. They are 10-3 overall.

“I challenged the girls to not have a bad inning today and they responded well,” Dos Pueblos coach Mike Gerken said. “We did a lot of things fundamentally that I think will benefit us down the road — moving runners over, hitting behind runners to score from third. It’s good that we are able to execute when we need too.”
