Dos Pueblos senior Seba Dupont scored in the 78th minute for the Chargers to pull out a 2-2 tie at Santa Ynez in Channel League action Thursday.

Senior wing man Luis Dominguez Soto got the assist, hooking a shot from the right corner to Dupont, who hit a volley into the upper net.

Dos Pueblos fell behind 2-0 in the first half, before Charger senior Petar Jevremovic cut that in half on an assist by Filippo Gerli two minutes before the break.

Tristan Amezcua and Alberto Luquin scored for Santa Ynez off assists from Erik Guerrero and Brian Garcia.

Back-up Dos Pueblos goalkeeper Diego Garcia went the full 80 minutes and “played admirably,” Charger coach Matt York said. He also gave a shout-out to Soto for “keeping us in threatening positions all day.”

The tie leaves the Chargers at 1-1-2 in league play, and 2-1-2 overall heading into a matchup at league co-leader San Marcos on Tuesday, at 6 p.m. Santa Ynez is 1-2-1 in Channel play and 2-2-2 overall.
