Santa Barbara won eight of nine doubles points to end the season with a 11-7 win against visiting Carpinteria Thursday.
In singles, the Warriors’ Austin brothers, Austin and Max, proved dominant, sweeping three sets each.
“They both looked composed and in control the whole time,” Carpinteria coach Charles Bryant said. “Both are playing at a very high level right now.”
The Dons’ Tharakan brothers, Jonah and Benji, teamed to sweep three doubles sets.
“Benji has been progressing steadily this season,” Santa Barbara coach Danny Echt said. “He has had the benefit of playing with Seniors Fabian Clifford and Luca Corey earlier this season. Today it was big brother’s turn, and team Tharakan looked sharp.”
The Dons finish at 7-4. Carpinteria is now 5-4 and plays non-league match Friday against Bishop Diego.
