The Downtown Live spring music series, hosted by the Downtown Organization of Santa Barbara, will feature local bands in a casual setting, 5-7 p.m. Wednesdays, April 12-May 10.

The five-week event will take place across from Night Lizard Brewing Company and Wylde Works in the 600 block of the State Street Promenade, between Ortega and De La Guerra streets.

The series is part of the Downtown Organization of Santa Barbara’s ongoing efforts to create a vibrant, welcoming downtown district and showcase local music and downtown businesses.

While listening to the tunes, patrons are encouraged to grab food and drinks at nearby businesses.

The Downtown Live music lineup is:

April 12 — The Mark Alvarado Trio – soul music
April 19 — Pretty Cheeky – indie rock
April 26 — Lemon Generation – indie rock
May 3 — The Coconuts – beach rock
May 10  — Cadillac Angels – eclectic American music
