The Montecito Fire Protection District is seeking the community’s feedback on the draft 2022 Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) Annex. The LHMP Annex is updated every five years, in conjunction with the update of the Santa Barbara County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The plans are built to prepare the district and the county for changing and dynamic hazards, identify vulnerable areas and structures, and develop mitigation goals and actions.
Community members are encouraged to review the draft LHMP Annex and provide their comments.
The LHMP Annex can be viewed online at montecitofire.com. Printed copies of the document are also available for pick-up at Montecito Fire Station 91, 595 San Ysidro Road, Santa Barbara.
