A driver was reportedly uninjured after crashing their vehicle off Highway 101 onto the railroad tracks along the Gaviota Coast Tuesday morning, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The crash was reported at 11:42 a.m. along the highway, between Refugio State Beach and El Capitan State Beach, County Fire Capt. Scott Safechuck said.

The female driver, the only occupant of the car, was able to get out of the vehicle after it crashed onto the tracks. She refused transportation to the hospital, Safechuck added.

The railroad tracks were temporarily closed to train traffic while crews removed the vehicle. Tracks in that area are used for Amtrak passenger trains and freight trains.

The cause of the collision was under investigation.
