Dunn School’s baseball team improved to 3-0 with a win over Valley Christian Academy and a doubleheader sweep of Orcutt Academy last week.

Spencer Troise crushed a two-run homer in the first inning to set the tone in a 19-3 over VCA. He also struck out five batters in two shutout innings on the mound.

In the doubleheader, Dunn won 11-3 and 19-4.

Freshman Theodore Anderson hit three doubles and Troise homered for Dunn in the first game. Anderson also made two good defensive plays in the infield.

Down 2-0, Dunn erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the first inning in the nightcap. Makami Nabarrio hit a leadoff homer to get the Earwigs going. Troise collected four hits in the game.

Dunn begins Frontier League Tuesday at St. Bonaventure.
