Eddie Blue of Santa Barbara passed away peacefully on Aug. 3, 2025, in Lompoc at the age of 81. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on Oct. 5, 1943, Eddie moved to Santa Barbara at the age of three, where he spent the majority of his life.

He attended school locally and dedicated his career to serving the community, working for the county Parks and Recreation Department, as well as at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.

Eddie was a beloved member of the community, admired for his warm spirit, kind heart, and lifelong friendships.

He will be remembered for his positive outlook on life and his deep desire for everyone to live fully, love deeply, and laugh often.

Eddie’s presence will be dearly missed, especially his beautiful singing voice that brought joy to so many. Now, he sings with the angels.
