The eighth-ranked UCSB men’s water polo team beat 10th-ranked Loyola Marymount 9-6 at Campus Pool Saturday, a day after winning three games at the Lancer Joust in Riverside Friday.

Against the Lions, Ryan Brosnan led the Gauchos with two goals, and goalie Danny Roland recorded 15 saves. UCSB is now 10-9 overall.

At California’s Baptist’s Lancer Joust, the Gauchos notched victories over Fresno Pacific 20-8, Cuesta 11-9 and the University of Toronto 16-12.

In a deep and well-balanced field of Gaucho scorers in the Joust, Adam Gyenis scored seven goals over the three games, and Logan Sutter six. Roland recorded 20 saves over the three games.

The Gauchos host Princeton on Sunday, at noon.
