Nine Royals contributed to scoring — led by freshman Ellie Monson with four goals — in a 14-3 San Marcos win at Nordhoff on Friday.
San Marcos established a 9-0 halftime lead, with senior goalie Shana Friedenberg making seven saves. Royals freshman Megan Taylor took over in goal for the second half and had seven saves of her own.
Senior Keeling McCormick scored all three of the Rangers’ goals.
San Marcos improves to 4-6 overall, and they are 3-2 in Channel League play. The third-place Royals host first place Dos Pueblos at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Warkentin Stadium.
