The Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the city of Goleta, will present Meet Me in Old Town, a series of free summer events held on the third Thursday in May, July and August.

The events will be 5-7 p.m. on Magnolia Avenue, Old Town Goleta between Hollister Avenue and Gaviota Street.

Designed to enhance community engagement, boost local business visibility, and showcase the charm of Old Town Goleta, Meet Me in Old Town will reflect the lively atmosphere of an evening block party.

The initiative is designed to promote community members to visit local businesses and encourage merchants to engage directly with the community. Old Town businesses will host specials and participate in ways that highlight their offerings, from tastings to promotions.

The events will feature shaded tables, games, and a variety of food and music options.

On Magnolia Avenue, visitors will find live music, games and refreshments, including beer and wine. Community organizations and local vendors will be on-site, and Goleta shirts and sweatshirts along with commemorative merchandise will be available for purchase.

The lineup of performers includes The Goodlanders, May 16; Mezcal Martini, July 18; and Tequila Mockingbird, Aug. 15.

“This initiative is a direct response to the city of Goleta’s strategic goal to return Old Town to its status as the vital center of the city, as outlined in the Goleta Strategic Plan,” said Kristen Miller, president/CEO of the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce.

“This partnership aims to activate local businesses and bring the Goleta community together in celebration of its rich heritage. Come for the fun, stay for the community,” she said.

Public parking for the event is available in the Yardi parking lot, 430 S. Fairview Ave., or the public parking lot next to Community West Bank, 5827 Hollister Ave.
