Erica Rene Delgadillo, 41, of Santa Maria passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2025. She was born Sept. 27, 1983, to Raul and Lupe Delgadillo.

She grew up in Santa Maria’s Tanglewood neighborhood, and attended Arellanes Elementary and Junior High schools. Erica attended Santa Maria High School and graduated in 2001.

Erica enjoyed softball, and played Santa Maria Fastpitch Girls Softball while growing up, and continued playing later at Hagerman in Santa Maria.

She thoroughly enjoyed coaching her kids Brandon and Ella while they played baseball. She loved practicing with them.

Erica always had a smile on her face, was quick to make jokes, and loved making people around her laugh.

She loved going to the beach and listening to Rebelution, R&B and Rap music. She was a great cook and would whip up potato salad to go with her dad’s delicious barbecue.

For special occasions, Erica’s go-to meal was chile verde, which she learned to make from her mom Lupita. She worked in hospitality and was a homemaker.

Erica also enjoyed thrifting for jewelry. She was an Angels and a Raiders fan.

Her greatest accomplishment were her children Brandon and Ella, who were her pride and joy!

Erica is survived by her son Brandon Lee; daughter Ella Rose; DJ and Sean who were like sons; life-long partner Sonny Villalobos; uncles and aunts William (Genevieve) Delgadillo, Pearl (Henry) Morin, Esther (Joe) Nunez, Lydia Mora, Fred Medina, Sal (Yolanda) Medina, Jr. Medina; and numerous cousins.

Erica is preceded in death by her dad Raul Delgadillo; mom Lupita Medina Delgadillo; maternal grandparents Baldomero and Lupe Medina; and paternal grandparents William and Henrietta Delgadillo.

A Celebration of Life will take place noon-4 p.m. Friday, March 28 for Erica and her dad Raul at the Moose Lodge Club, 116 W. El Camino St., Santa Maria.
