Fay Irene Rose, a 66-year Santa Maria resident passed away two days short of her 90th birthday.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Clyde Rose, and sisters Joy, Hope and Grace. She is survived by her sister Love; and loving sons David, Dale (Tami), Danny (Sarene); six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and was an accomplished pianist and singer and was involved in music ministry most of her life.

When she was a girl her family traveled around the country, which is how Clyde met her and pursued her to Southern California where they eventually wed and lived originally in Long Beach.

They relocated to Santa Maria in 1960, and lived in the same house until she went to be with the Lord. Her faith and family were her guiding purpose in life, and she was known for her love of gospel music.
