San Marcos starter Nick Fell pitched four scoreless innings and the Royals held on for a 7-5 Channel League win at Cabrillo on Friday.
Fell gave up just two hits and struck out six. Henry Manfredonia got San Marcos on the board with a run in the first, and the Royals added three in the fourth on a double by Emmet Speake.
San Marcos collected 12 hits for the game.
The win raises San Marcos’ record to 8-2, and 2-1 in Channel League play. Cabrillo falls to 2-6 and 1-2.
