It’s all San Marcos and Dos Pueblos players who will contest the two final rounds of the Channel League individual tennis tournament Wednesday at Santa Barbara High School.
The first two rounds of singles and doubles play on Tuesday left these matchups for Wednesday mornings semifinals. All matches start at 9 .m.
Singles
1. Jed Greenwald (San Marcos) vs Ryan Belkin (Dos Pueblos)
2. Alex Chow (San Marcos) vs Will Steinberg (Dos Pueblos)
Doubles
1. Joey Friedman/Matthew Chung (San Marcos) vs Julian Choi/Franklin Truong (Dos Pueblos)
2. Daniel Truong/ Keaton Cross (Dos Pueblos) vs. Ronin Suzuki/Charlie Friedman (San Marcos)
The winners will play in the finals, starting no earlier than noon, and possibly later if semifinal matches go long.
Missing in the tournament draw is San Marcos No. 1 player Masato Perera, who on Sunday won the Men’s Open Singles title at the prestigious Ojai Tennis Tournament, pro player and top-seeded Alex Kuperstein in Sunday’s final.
