Two apartment units were damaged due to a fire Tuesday morning in north Santa Maria.
At approximately 7:15 a.m., the Santa Maria Fire Department sent all of its engines to the incident on the 200 block of North Western Avenue while Santa Barbara County Fire Department personnel also responded.
Crews found fire filling one apartment while an adjacent unit was damaged.
American Medical Response personnel conducted medical evaluations on two civilians who were released.
No firefighters were injured due to the incident.
Santa Maria police officers also responded to the scene, helping with traffic control and other duties.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation, Santa Maria fire officials said.
