A fire on the city’s Westside destroyed a shed and damaged two nearby residences before being doused by firefighters Wednesday afternoon, according to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched shortly after 1:30 p.m. to the fire behind a residence on the 1400 block of Euclid Avenue, fire Battalion Chief Michael Hoose told Noozhawk.
Upon arrival firefighters found the shed engulfed in flames and putting off heavy smoke, and called for additional firefighting resources.
An aggressive attack on the flames was initiated, and crews were able to control the fire in about 15 minutes, Hoose said.

The front structure and an adjacent home on the 400 block of West Sola Street sustained exterior fire damage, Hoose said, but the flames did not extend to the interiors.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
The American Red Cross was called in to assist the residents affected by the fire.
Crews from the Montecito Fire Protection District and Santa Barbara County provided back-up coverage at city fire stations while city units were tied up on the incident.
