Santa Barbara County Fire Department firefighters quickly doused a fire at a house in Los Alamos on Saturday.
The fire started at a single-story ranch-style home on the 4300 block of Highway 135, according to fire Capt. Scott Safechuck.
The residence was under renovation, and the fire and was discovered by a construction worker who called 9-1-1 at about 9 a.m., Safechuck said.
The blaze caused moderate damage, but no injuries were reported.
Two fire engines responded to the fire and knocked it out at about 9:09 a.m.
Cause of the fire was under investigation.
