Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire that broke out Thursday afternoon in a single-family residence and an outbuilding in the Painted Cave area, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Crews first responded to the 4800 block of Glenn Road, in the mountains above Santa Barbara, shortly before 3:30 p.m. for a report of a structure fire, said fire Capt. Mike Gray.
The fire involved a vacant residence, an outbuilding and 40′ by 40′ of vegetation.
No injuries were reported, and the cause was under investigation, per the Fire Department.
The person who reported the fire was staying at an Airbnb nearby, per emergency radio traffic.
