Freshman Sagarika Manian finished on top of the leaderboard with a career-best score of 37 to lead the Dos Pueblos girls golf team to a 228-261 win over Lompoc in a Channel League match at Glen Annie Golf Course on Thursday.
It was the first medalist honor in Manian’s high school career.
“She was on fire today,” said DP coach Dan Choi of Manion, who had five pars and a birdie in her nine-hole round.
Victoria Chen shot a 43 and Chelsi Ramriez carded a 44 for the Chargers. Brynlee Grose had a personal-best 52, tying teammate Camille Robinson. The 228 was DP’s lowest score of the season.
The Chargers are now 4-0 overall and 2-0 in league
