Ice in Paradise is thrilled to announce that five of its local figure skaters have qualified to compete in the 14th Annual Southern California Interclub Invitational Series Final, a United States Figure Skating (USFS) sanctioned event that will take place Saturday, September 27 – Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Iceland at Paramount in
Paramount, California.
The skaters representing Ice in Paradise at this year’s championships are:
- Sophia Berar
- Winter Do
- Caleb Flanagan
- Sadie Heinze
- Amelia McCarthy
These young athletes earned their spot at the final through consistent performance across the SCICA Invitational Series, a points-based competition circuit that spans the Southern California region.
Skaters accumulate points based on placements at designated qualifying events throughout the year. Only the highest scorers in each category advance to the season-ending championship.
As a US Figure Skating event, the Invitational Series Final adheres to national-level rules and standards, offering skaters the opportunity to compete in a professionally judged environment that supports development at both the regional and national levels.
Ice in Paradise celebrates this accomplishment and applauds the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship demonstrated by these athletes throughout the season.
Their success is a testament to the strength of our local figure skating community and coaching team.
