Tickets are now on sale for the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation’s Flower Valley Golf Classic, banquet and auctions, set for May 10 at the Mission Club in Vandenberg Village.
The day-long event is the major fundraising effort of the nonprofit foundation, which was established in 1990. The classic includes 18 holes of golf, buffet dinner, and live and silent auctions.

“We want to encourage golfers to sign up now for this exciting annual fundraising tournament,” said Alice Milligan, foundation president. “Many opportunities exist for great sponsorship roles as well.”
This year, Milligan said, the foundation is raising funds to help Lompoc Valley Medical Center’s Comprehensive Care Center purchase a new wheelchair-accessible paratransit van to drive residents to medical appointments, field trips and other locations.
Registration for the golf portion of the day is $175. The golf portion includes a putting contest and chances to win prizes throughout the day.
The entry fee also includes a tee prize, lunch, a round of golf, and buffet dinner. Anyone may attend the evening’s banquet and auctions with the purchase of a $40 dinner ticket.
Purchase tickets at LHDFoundation.org.
Sponsorship opportunities remain, from $200 tee signs to $10,000 Major Sponsor designation. Details are available from Milligan at 805-736-4005 or online at the foundation website.
Among the numerous silent auction items are restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, and golf rounds.
