FLY to Success, an event designed to inspire Lompoc Valley youth by connecting them with career, educational, vocational, and trade opportunities will be held 10 a.m. April 5 at Lompoc High School.
This event is a collaborative effort between two local masters in social work graduate students and Future for Lompoc Youth (FLY), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and uplifting local youth.
FLY to Success is tailored to engage youth ages 14-19 through hands-on learning experiences with representatives from local businesses, trade schools, and colleges.
To encourage participation, participants will have the chance to earn entries for opportunity drawings as they chat with exhibitors.
As a family-friendly community event, FLY to Success will also feature a free Kite Festival for all ages. This will be one of the first kite festivals in Lompoc in years. Free kites will be provided to attendees while supplies last.
Also on site will be community agencies, food vendors, and live music.
