For the first time since 2020, Doctors Without Walls – Santa Barbara Street Medicine will hold its Annual Foot Washing Event, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Good Friday, April 3, at the Veterans Memorial Building, 112 W. Cabrillo Blvd.

“This event is centered around caring for our patients who walk miles every day through hardship and uncertainty,” organizers said. “It’s a chance for them to slow down, feel seen, and receive intentional care and connection.

“We’ll be offering foot washing, hot meals, socks, new shoes (thanks to Deckers in Santa Barbara), showers through Showers of Blessings, and medical services from our team and partner organizations.

“It’s truly a powerful example of our community coming together to support our neighbors who are unsheltered or going through difficult times.”
