In a wild night in Los Angeles, the Santa Barbara Foresters erupted for eight runs in the seventh inning to overcome a 6-4 deficit and defeat the Arroyo Seco Saints, 12-9, on Tuesday night at Jackie Robinson Stadium.

The Foresters took advantage of six walks in the seventh, and 11 in the game.

Gavin Kash hit a two-run double to tie the game and a wild pitch with the bases load brough home pinch-runner Ty Hodge for the go-ahead run.  Josh Stinson beat out a routine grounder for a RBI single and an 8-6 lead. Miguel Santos drew the sixth walk for an RBI and to make it 9-6. 

Tanner O’Tremba smacked a single to right, knocking in two more runs. A sacrifice fly by Kevin Bazzell extended the lead to 12-6.

Arroyo Seco cut the Santa Barbara lead to three, scoring a run in the seventh and two in the eighth.

Ace closer Nick Proctor shut the door in the ninth to earn his third save.

Kash smacked three hits to lead the Foresters’ offense and O’Tremba,  Bazzell and Stinson each had two hits.

The Foresters return to Jackie Robinson Stadium again on Wednesday to play the Saints.  The game can be heard on AM 1290 and KZSB FM 96.9.
