The Santa Barbara Foresters won their third straight game Saturday, beating the Academy Barons 10-4 in California Collegiate League action at Pershing Park.
The Foresters took charge early, jumping out to an 8-0 lead by the third inning, including a three-run double by Texas Tech’s Nathan Rombach.
Shortstop Andrew Kachel of Fresno State and third baseman Dylan Campbell of the University of Texas both had two RBIs to aid the win.
Another Longhorn, starter Justin Eckhardt, went five innings for the win, striking out eight.
After a three-game road trip, the Foresters return to Pershing Park for a four-game homestand, starting with a face-off with the Ventura Pirates on Thursday. First pitch is at 6 p.m.
