Francisco Anthony Alcaraz, Jr., 32, died on May 7, 2019, in Santa Barbara.

Francisco was born in Santa Barbara on Dec. 23, 1986. He attended local schools, including Franklin Elementary School, Santa Barbara Junior High, and Santa Barbara High School, where he obtained his GED diploma.

For the past five years, Francisco worked as a demolition worker in construction. He also worked in designing and constructing counter tops, and worked for a while at Macy’s.

Francisco liked playing basketball and skateboarding, and enjoyed hip hop and rap music.

Francisco is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his children, Francisco, Vincent, Alic and Mia; his parents, Francisco and Carmelita; his brothers, Fernando Alcaraz and Kevin R. Martinez-Alcaraz; and other family members and numerous friends.

Rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, also at Our Lady of Sorrows, followed by interment at Santa Barbara Cemetery.
