Francisco Bazaldua, People’s Self-Help Housing (PSHH)’s maintenance technician, is celebrating 15 years of dedicated service at the organization.
“Francisco holds a wealth of institutional knowledge and best practices for our maintenance team,” said Jane Renahan, director of property management. “We are so grateful for his continued dedication and leadership over the past 15 years.”
Bazaldua originally joined the PSHH team in December 2006 as a janitor at Casas de las Flores in Carpinteria. He was quickly promoted to maintenance technician, where he supported multiple Santa Barbara area properties, and has since transitioned to supporting PSHH properties in both Ventura and South Santa Barbara County.
Asked about his time working at PSHH, Bazaldua said, “These have been some very good years, and I have shared many good moments with my coworkers. I really like my work here and just want to say thank you.”
As a maintenance technician, Bazaldua supports the property management branch of PSHH. Among a diverse roster of responsibilities, he and his team help ensure all properties are well-maintained and beautiful for the 5,000-plus residents who call PSHH home.
Technicians perform preventative maintenance through annual inspections, and respond to the daily needs of residents. PSHH maintenance technicians are skilled individuals with extensive backgrounds in electrical work, plumbing, landscaping, and other fields.
