Award-winning pianists Alvise Pascucci and Jacopo Giacopuzzi join forces for Note D’Italia, an afternoon of classical and cinematic masterpieces, 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18 at Christ Lutheran Church, 6595 Covington Way, Goleta.

The free concert showcases works by Ottorino Respighi, including “The Pines of Rome,” as well as a suite of Italian film scores from “Life Is Beautiful,” “Cinema Paradiso,” “Il Postino,” “The Legend of 1900,” and “The Godfather.”

Pascucci, who was born in Italy, earned a doctor of musical arts at UC Santa Barbara, where he earned the Chancellor’s Fellowship and serves as a teaching assistant.

Pascucci has won more than 60 prizes in national and international competitions, performing in Steinway Hall in London, Military Circle Hall in Romania, Teatro degli Industri of Italy, Dar Sebastien in Tunisia, and the Gnessin Academy of Music concert hall in Russia.

Hailing from Verona, Italy, Giacopuzzi is an internationally renowned pianist and chamber musician.

A winner of numerous international piano competitions, Giacopuzzi has performed in major concert halls across the Americas, Europe and Asia, earning critical acclaim for his dynamic artistry and collaborative spirit.
