Health checks, fall prevention tips, community resources, and cooking demonstrations will be offered May 3 at the free annual Lompoc Senior Health Expo, 9 a.m.-noon at Dick DeWees Community and Senior Center, 1120 W. Ocean Ave.

The event is sponsored by the Lompoc Parks and Recreation Division and Lompoc Hospital District Foundation.
Dozens of vendors representing organizations, businesses, agencies, and health care centers will be on hand. Participants include Coast Caregiver Resource Center, County of Santa Barbara Behavioral Wellness, Care Connection Transport Services, Vandenberg Village Lions Club, Central Coast Home Health and Hospice, Valley Haven, Savie Health, Transitions – Mental Health Association, and Lompoc Valley Medical Center’s Comprehensive Care Center.
In addition to raffles and giveaways, free health checks will be offered, including blood pressure and cholesterol tests. A free lunch, while supplies last, will be available for attendees.
