Gallery 113 is celebrating its 50th year in business with a show themed Quintessential Santa Barbara, and artists are invited to submit works for the exhibit, 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 at Gallery 113 in La Arcada, 1114 State St. #8, Santa Barbara.
There will be live music, refreshments and wine.
The show is open to a variety of mediums, but artwork must be presented on 8.5-by-11-inch paper. (It could be an 8-by-10 inch in size and the gallery will attach to an 8.5-by-11-inch paper.)
All submitted art will be offered as a donation to the gallery and will be priced for sale at $113. Proceeds from the sales will go to Gallery 113 for gallery improvements. Gallery 113 represents members of the Santa Barbara Art Association.
A $15 entry fee will help defer the cost of the frame and mat supplied by the gallery. The fee must be paid with the completed application before Oct. 25 by mail or through the website.
The in-gathering of artwork will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 at the gallery.
In addition to art submitted by the public, selected guest artists will display their work.
Jurors will vote on art pieces, and prizes will be awarded in five categories: Juror’s Favorite, The Picasso, The Ray Strong, and The Rauschenberg, as well as three Juror’s Recognitions.
