A candidate meet-and-greet, plus an old-fashioned ice cream social will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, in the Casa Grande Mobile Estates clubhouse, 519 W. Taylor, Santa Maria.
The free event is co-sponsored by the North Santa Barbara County Manufactured Homeowners Team (NSBMHT) and Casa Grande Mobile Estates Homeowners Association.
All community residents from inside and outside area mobile home parks are invited.
Invited candidates (or their representatives) include U.S. Congressional District 24; California Assembly District 37; Santa Barbara County 5th District Supervisor; and Santa Maria Councilmember Districts 1, 3 and 4.
Each candidate will be given limited time to present themselves to attendees.
The introductions will be followed with breakout time for the candidates to discuss issues in more detail one-on-one, while enjoying the ice cream social.
NSBMHT promotes the general welfare of manufactured homeowners in North Santa Barbara County, provides organized representation for these residents, and educates them and others on matters relating to manufactured home living, organizers said.
