The city of Santa Barbara’s Downtown Team invites the community to attend a live recording of the local podcast “The Ghoul’s Guide to Santa Barbara,” 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 in front of 801 State St.

The hosts will share stories about the history and hauntings of State Street and downtown Santa Barbara.

Three local residents and long-time friends launched the “The Ghoul’s Guide to Santa Barbara” podcast in July. Weekly episodes focus on the dark, mysterious, and potentially haunted side of Santa Barbara and the surrounding Central Coast.

Each episode delves into the lesser-known stories that have shaped the community’s history.

The podcast event is one of several fall events designed to bring families together and foster community involvement, in collaboration with Downtown Santa Barbara.
