Billed as Santa Barbara’s largest indoor garage sale, the Junior League of Santa Barbara (JLSB) will host its annual Rummage Sale, 8 a.m.-1p.m. Saturday, March 22 at Carrillo Recreation Center.

There will be a pre-sale shopping event, 6-9 p.m., Friday, March 21, also at Carrillo Recreation center. Tickets for the pre-sale are $30 each or $120 for a bundle of five. Admission to the Saturday sale is free.

Established in 1934, the community-based sale is one of Santa Barbara’s longest standing charity events. It benefits the JLSB’s mission and provides low-cost, new and gently used merchandise to the community.

The rummage sale offers thousands of new, almost-new and gently-used items, including baby items, clothing for all, art, housewares, appliances, kitchen and dining wares.

Funds raised support JLSB’s current signature projects, S.A.F.E. and Living Arrows.

S.A.F.E. House is a six-bed residential shelter in Santa Barbara County for girls under age 18 who are survivors of sexual exploitation and sex trafficking.

Living Arrows consists of  two licensed, six-bed residential shelters in Santa Barbara County for transition age (18-21 years) boys and girls. The shelters have been tailored to meet the ongoing therapeutic needs of survivors of commercial sexual exploitation.

Proceeds from the rummage sale also support training for JLSB members to be effective community leaders.
