Dos Pueblos girls golf opened up Channel League action with a road victory over Ventura High on Tuesday at Buenaventura Golf Course.
The Chargers, who have won the first five matches of their season, combined for a team score of 223 and the Cougars ended the day at 272.
Celeste Alcaraz continued her stellar start to the campaign by shooting a match-best 36, earning medalist honors.
She was joined by strong performances from teammates Sophie Ralston (43), Bella Sebastian (48), Alina van Hooijdonk (48), Sophia Morales (48) and Avery Adams (54).
San Marcos 251, Buena 307
The Royals also came out on top in their Channel League opener on Tuesday, defeating the Bulldogs at Sandpiper Golf Course, a par 36.
San Marcos’ Chloe Bellamy pulled in the match’s medalist honors with her strong score of 45.

She was followed by Simrin Singh (47), Mia Rocha (48), Hayden Anderson (55), Cana Spieker (56) and Sierra Kaderali (57).
“Chloe has played very consistently this week and it’s great to see all the hard work she put in during the off-season pay off. Simrin is another player who continues to improve and demonstrate leadership on and off the course,” San Marcos head coach Sarah Ashton said.
“Mia’s a leader on our team and plays with a lot of composure. We are excited to see big things from her this year.
The Royals and Chargers will square off for a crosstown rivalry match on Thursday at Glen Annie Golf Club at 2 p.m.
Santa Barbara High 295, Rio Mesa 301
The Dons pulled out a tight win over the Spartans to begin Pacific View League action on Tuesday at Santa Barbara Golf Club, a par 37.
Cecilia Duarte’s score of 49 led the pack, while the rest of the Santa Barbara High golfers were Jazmin Mislang (57), Ava Rudd (60), Camryn Quinn (63), Livvie Zampelli (66) and Blake Kaufman (69).
The Dons, now 3-2 on the year, will be on the road against Ventura High on Thursday at Buenaventura Golf Course.
