Dos Pueblos girls golf earned a non-league victory over Oxnard High on Tuesday at River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard.
The Chargers combined for a team score of 239 to beat out the Yellow Jackets’ mark of 256.
“This was another great team win,” Dos Pueblos head coach Dan Choi said. “As is typical in golf, it’s impossible to always have a good day, and whenever some of our team struggles, the other girls always seem to step up.”
Charger senior Sophie Ralston earned the first medalist honor of her high school career, carding a match-best score of 41.
“[Ralston] has been such a wonderful captain for us and what she did today is the epitome of the kind of leadership that she brings to our team,” Choi said.
Ralston was followed by teammates Sophia Morales (47), Sophia Fuste (48), Alina van Hooijdonk (51), Isabella Sebastian (52) and Baily Ayers (56).
